Seriously people I noticed this several times, while I was doing different things. I mean I was holding my breath. I was holding my breath and felt pretty stressed out.

I started reading about our breath, how it can help us reduce our stress.

It can help us relax, refocus and it has so many other benefits to it.

and of course, we must not forget that without the breath, well we are not going to be alive.

Dr. Belisa Vranich talks about this in her book, Breathe.

She calls our breath, the medicine that can help us keep calm and alert.

I must agree with this.
Simple practices, techniques, can help our mind, body, and soul.

Simply by changing the way that we breathe.

Our breath is crucial.

We can live without food and water, but not without our breath.

One way for us to relax and activate this is through deep breathing.

Take a long, deep, expansive breath. Hold it and then exhale.

So where ever you are right now, stop and take a deep breath.

You want to breathe deeply. Starting from your belly button and expanding your stomach and torso. Breathe up all the way through your chest, as fully as you can and then breath out. Exhale.

How do you know if this is working for you?

One way is to find what may be triggering your stress. Practice these breathing techniques and then ask yourself how you feel after taking those breaths.

I asked do you notice if you hold your breath when you are stressed or doing something in the beginning?

Once you become aware of this, you will often stop and take full breaths.

That is GREAT.

The goal is to use our breath to relax, to refocus, to give our bodies that break that it needs.

Anytime that you feel stressed out.

Anytime you need a break.

STOP.

And take a deep breath.

You deserve it.
