It’s the Friday check-in and recap of the week.

This week I talked about preparing for the week and in doing that how it can relieve some stress.

News flash people, I didn’t always prepare.

No I did not.

Not having something to eat or drink would not be bothersome until I got stuck on a call.

You know what I am talking about?

You are hungry, thirsty, and there’s no relief in sight.

When I did prepare, it was super easy to do what I had to do with no added pressure.

What this did for me, was give me an option to sit down, eat and give myself a few minutes to relax.

Let’s talk about how to get you started on this mindset and start preparing TODAY.

Ask yourself what foods do I like to eat?

What are my favorite snacks?

How can I make this less of a task and more of a fun activity?

Make a list of things you are going to need.

  1. Ziplock bags
  2. Utensils
  3. Lunch bag
  4. Napkins
  5. Ice packs
  6. Your favorite snacks
  7. Containers
  8. Water bottle

When thinking of what type of snacks to add to your list or lunch bag, look for snacks that are going to help you relieve your stress. Carrots and celery are crunchy snacks.  Did you know that they can help loosen the tightness in your jaw caused by stress.  https://source.wustl.edu/2013/12/breaking-down-stress-10-foods-that-help-bust-stress/

Yes, for real.  Fun fact.

So grab some crunchy veggies and crunch away your stress.

Instead of reaching for an energy drink that is full of sugar.  Get yourself a glass water bottle, put some blueberries in it. https://www.webmd.com/diet/features/water-stress-reduction#1

If you don’t like blueberries, grab some lemons, or cucumbers and place them in that water bottle.

Fill it up and drink water all day, every day.  Water is good for you, and it helps relieve your stress.

The stress kit is my other tip and that is whatever you want it to be.

Get yourself an essential oil, a stress ball, get your playlist together, and have that ready to go when you need a stress buster.

There are so many ways to prepare for your day, but so many more to help you relieve your stress.

Remember friends, that it all starts with…you guessed it.  YOU.

Place yourself on top of the list.

Do something daily to relieve your stress.
