This week I spoke about the importance of setting a community up for yourself and doing things that can help support you. That looks different for everyone and our needs are all different.
I mean we know this, but sometimes we tend to get grouped into things that do not resonate with us.
I want to encourage you to look for groups and services that resonate with you.
Why?
Because you will tend to stick to those longer and you will enjoy them.
It is important to enjoy things and do those things you enjoy daily.
What can you do right now?
You can start by making a list of things that you want to do for yourself.
Then go and search for groups that are doing those things you want to do.
An example of that may be a book club, a running group, or a golf group.
Whatever that is, look for those things that mean something to you.
Don’t forget to make this fun and not stressful.
I ask that you make a list daily of at least five things you want to do for yourself and then pick one off of the list.
Your goal is to do one thing off of that list daily.
If looking for these groups online stresses you out, then look for them in your community.
The Public library has many community groups that come in and offer classes.
You can ask friends, or just look in the community section in your local newspaper.
The opportunities are endless and the path to finding your community is clearer.
Please find something to do daily that helps you relieve your stress.
Do that DAILY.
Place yourself on top of the list.
