Replay week:  Friday’s Check-in & Recap.

How’s your Friday going so far today?

I hope that it’s going well and that you have done something to relieve your stress today.

One of my favorite ways to relieve my stress is by doing a workout.

If you have never been to 9 Rounds, I strongly recommend you try it once.

There are punching bags, one on one work with a trainer and it is super challenging.

For someone like me who gets bored easy, this is an ideal workout.

Whatever your style is, it’s important to do something to relieve your stress.

The reason I am talking about working out and the importance of relieving your stress is that I also use this to combine it with meditation.

Yes!!!

How do you ask?

When I am working out I focus on that activity and use that time to ground myself while relieving my stress.

I am using that focus to meditate.

To PURGE my worries, my thoughts, my stress.

I love sharing different tips and ways to relieve stress, and this works for me.

I didn’t want to keep that a secret.

That’s not what this is about.

This method, that I am going to call Your Stress Style Meditation, can be done while you run, walk, listen to music, and while you drive.

I am trying to talk about the way that we all look at meditation and how much it can benefit each and every one of us out here.

I know that as First Responders our time is limited sometimes, our schedules aren’t ideal, but that doesn’t mean we can’t use different methods and tips to feel better.

I must not forget my favorite of all combinations is breathing and focusing on that breath for a wonderful meditation combination.

Stop and take a breath, wherever you are right now.

Take a long, deep, expansive breath.

Place your hand on your chest and relax.

You are amazing, you are powerful, and I want to remind you to take care of yourself.

Please stay safe out there.
