Everyone feels stress in different ways and we all react to it differently.

How you choose to deal with stress, can make a difference to your health and how you feel.

Let’s face it, as First Responders, there are constant ups and downs.

Stress inside the workplace and stress outside of the workplace.

This stuff can pile up on you and make you feel all kinds of things.

Stress can affect behaviors and factors that can increase your heart disease risk, high blood pressure, and cholesterol levels, smoking, physical activity, and overeating.

We all know that a stressful event can set of a chain off events. Our bodies release adrenaline, a hormone that temporarily causes your breathing and heart beat to speed up.  We also know this a fight or flight response.

If you are constantly stressed, your body remains in high gear.

How do you manage your stress?

Here are three tips to get you started:

  1.  Go for a walk.
  2.  Take 3 deep breaths.
  3. Listen to music.
