How you can make a difference right now.

These are crazy times and as we have seen it in every social media post.

People are hoarding supplies and making it difficult to find items that are needed.

There are many people out here who have chosen to make a difference with action.

Inspired action.

I am talking to you today of a lady who is married to a retired police officer, and she is my friend.

Her name is Shannon King and she is doing something that has my heart so full right now.

She works in the school district in our town.

She knows that there are children who come to school to get meals and maybe that is their only meal of the day.

She decided to create a food pantry in her home.

She is collecting non-perishable items and toiletries to help not only the students but anyone that may need help.

How amazing is this woman?

I can’t say enough about her.

This is a time for us to help each other out.

Yes it is stressful but there is something therapeutic in helping others.

Did you know that helping others reduces our stress?

It does people.

The simple joy of helping others reduces our stress and it also boosts our immune system.

It also helps with reducing our negative feelings, especially with this dawg on Corona virus.

Helping others feels so GOOD.

You may be feeling helpless and thinking there’s nothing you can do.

But there is something you can do.

Look in your cupboards for things that you are not using.

Donate them to someone or to a local food bank.

The more you do for others, the more you do for yourself.

Studies have shown that there are benefits to helping others that can last a long time after the act itself.

Helping others is amazing for your physical wellbeing and helping others is also good for our emotional wellbeing.

This isn’t something that will take a lot of your time or money.

Research show that those who help others experience less depression, have greater calm, and better health.*

Where can you donate and help.  I have provided all of the links below.
