It’s the New Year and everyone, I mean EVERYONE is so excited.

I am not going to lie, I am too. For many reasons.

We often think of the previous year as you know, one of those years.

Or not THE year.

But that’s why it doesn’t really matter to me.

No I am not trying to get all uppity with you all.

What I am trying to say is this.

We should be looking at every waking day as an opportunity to start over.

As First responders we often are faced with trying moments.

These moments are difficult, they are trying on the mind, body and soul.

What I found SUPER helpful, I mean SUPER helpful, was finding a way to release that tension DAILY.

The stress.

The worry.

The overwhelming feeling of this career needs to be over for me to relax.

I think you know what I am talking about.

So with all that being said, I would love for you to start doing something for yourself daily.

How you ask.

By starting your day with writing down 5 things you are going to do for yourself.

I know you are probably thinking that it is easier said than done.

No it is what you are going to do for yourself daily, starting now.

So write down five things that you want to do.

Things that you wish you could do every single day if you didn’t have a jammed packed schedule.

A stressful job.

All the things that stop us from doing what we enjoy.

People, it is possible to relieve our stress daily and it is also possible to relax.

You don’t have to be on vacation, or have a day off or even wait 25 or more years to relax.

I am going to share a Wellness Guide with you that starts out with 5 easy tips for you to do for yourself.

This isn’t just any old guide, it is something that as a First Responder, I found helpful. I created it with you in mind.

Start today. Start honoring yourself. Start placing yourself on top of the list.
