Your inner critic is such a lying diva.

You know that voice sometimes that says some really mean stuff to you? That voice that confirms your fears and helps you beat yourself up?  Yeah, you know that voice. Well it’s a flipping liar.  Don’t believe it.

What am I talking about? That voice that tells you sometimes that you are not good enough, you are too old, you are too fat, you are dumb! That voice…yeah, it’s a liar.

What happens is that sometimes that inner critic is going hard at you and then some person shows up talking smack.  You start to believe that voice or you fuel that critic more. People…

Stop, stop, stop, stop.  You don’t have to listen to that inner critic.  You have to do what makes you happy.  You don’t have to ask any one for permission or approval.  Do what makes you happy.  Again, do what makes you happy.

Not everyone is going to agree with your decisions, your ideas and be part of your fan club.  That’s okay. That’s what makes this world so unique.

How do work through that inner critic?

The first step is quiet it down.  That voice will always be a part of you.

Write it down, what it said to you, and work through it.

Remember that anyone that sounds like it, has also gotta go. Yes.

Question your inner critic and check in with it. I mean what the heck is going on? What is it saying and where did it come from?

This is something that you have to work through and if you want, write out exactly what that inner critic is saying.  Check in with the truths and check in with the lies.  This is a great exercise to shut that dawg on inner critic up.

Do what makes you happy and tell that inner critic to take a step back.
